About the Event
Anna Gruvstad Melén, is a Registered Nutritionist and Nutritional Therapist specialising in ME/CFS.
Anna had a very personal introduction to nutrition. Suffering from ME/CFS during her first pregnancy, she embarked on her own healing journey of which nutrition and functional medicine played a central role.
She went on to gain an MSc in Personalised Nutrition and a Diploma in Nutritional Therapy from CNELM/Middlesex University. Anna was awarded a distinction for her dissertation “The impact of personalised nutrition on mitochondrial function in ME/CFS: A retrospective quantitative study”. Her findings were presented in a poster presentation at the Institute of Functional Medicine’s (IFM) Annual International Conference 2020.
Anna is the cofounder of HEL hållbar hälsa & precisionsvård (together with Linda Lemón, MD), a functional medicine clinic in the south of Sweden, specialising in ME/CFS. Alongside clinical practice, Anna is a research supervisor at CNELM/Middlesex University. She is also the coauthor of the nutrition section in "Gravid med kropp och själ", a holistic pregnancy book. Currently she is working on two different scientific articles; one on ME/CFS and the other one on Hashimoto’s disease.
